As a member of the Lauter Day Brewers, you have access to borrow any of the equipment owned by the club. Below is a list of the available equipment along with photos and descriptions. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
NOTE: By checking out this equipment, you agree to clean all elements of equipment you are responsible for. There may be penalties for returning dirty or broken equipment.
Jockey Box
Our jockey box is a metallic retro cooler that uses a radiator-like plate chiller, covered in ice, to cool beer as it travels from the keg to one of four taps. Used to cool beverages being served on tap in temporary locations.
Pressure Cooker
Here is a description of the pressure cooker. Here is a link to a tutorial on using the pressure cooker to can starter wort.
Stainless Hop Spider
We have a 4″ and an 8″ Hop Spider from Stainless Brewing that members may borrow to brew their beer with. These are commonly used by those who try to keep hops from entering their fermenter and are unable to whirlpool. They can be very handy for beers using a large volume of hops. Works with both loose and pellet hops.
