The pursuit of better beer.
Just about every homebrewer who has made more than a few batches and has decided they enjoy the hobby focuses on one thing: making the best beer they can. In fact, one of the main goals of the Lauter Day Brewers is to help homebrewers continually improve the quality of the beer that they produce.
The Lauter Day Brewers has several members who are BJCP certified beer judges and as a service to members, a couple of these individuals offer their time each meeting to provide BJCP level feedback on members beers; and while each of us are often our own worst critic, having your beer critically evaluated by a trained beer judge can help you improve your beer and process by leaps and bounds.
Though the BJCP Corner is intended as a benefit to members, no one seeking to improve their beer will ever be turned away. However, members will receive priority as there is only time to judge two or three beers each meeting.
If you would like to have your beer judged at a meeting, please bring one or two 12oz bottles or a 22oz bottle, and let us know as soon as you arrive that you’d like to have your beer judged.
The purpose of the BJCP Corner is not only to provide feedback on member beers but to expose other members who are interested to beer judging. If you are interested in learning more about beer judging, we encourage you to join us at BJCP Corner and evaluate beers with us, asking as many questions as you like along the way. Please let us know at a meeting if you would like to judge beers with us.
